Changes to my study programme 

Hello! Today I will talk you about changes that I should do to my study programme. First, respect to the curriculum, I think that we have subjects that aren’t very important – because it’s bad done or is really useless- for the formation as psychologist and they take time of study that we could use studying another subject that, from me, are more important and for that they should have more time to study of correct form and learn correctly the topics. One example of a subject that I think isn’t important – because in principal it’s very bad organized – is “Psicología del Desarrollo 1”, and I would change this subject for any subject that need more time for learn of correct form – for example, “psicopatología” or “neurofisiología”-

Respect the workload I think that in this semester, for example, we have works in group that demand so many time and in addition sometimes the delivery of this is exact when we have difficult test, so you can’t interiorized the knowledge correctly because you are divide between the work and the test (in principal I think that exist a bad organization between the subjects, I think that they should talk more between them and in this way avoid the moments of stress and anxiety).

About the faculty facilities I think that in general are good but exist things in that they can will be better, as the rooms or Facso because in summer the rooms are so hot and although the rooms have ventilator they are very noisy because of you can’t be totally focus in the class. In addition, in winter the rooms are so cold and for these two things are that I think that we need better calefaction to the rooms.

Finally I think respect the use the technology and the teaching methods that the technology that we have is very no much (for example we have in Facso a few of computers and for this in chance we don’t have the betters conditions for learn) and respect the teaching methods I think that they are in general good I only would better the sound and the visibility in the rooms, because we have class of all the generation, when you stay in the last place you listen almost nothing, or is difficult see the powerpoints.

Ignacio Martín-Baró

A person that I admire in the field of the psychology is Ignacio Martín-Baró. He was born in Spain, in Valladolid, the November 7^th of 1942 and he died in the November 16 of 1989. He was a great psychology and he dedicated the most part of his life as psychology to the investigation about the social and politic reality about a little country of Latin America, El Salvador. In this country he was a teacher of the University “Jose Simeon Cañas” and he was the responsible of department of Psychology and Education.

I admire Martin-Baró because I think that his theory of the liberation have reason in more things.  In this theory he affirmed that the psychology is a practice that shouldn’t study the persons from an artificial position. So, the psychology should works with the people from any context in specific that is to say, for example, the psychologist can’t use methods make in EE.UU in the context of El Salvador, because the social reality in two countries are very different.
